The Project

In my final semester of college, I took a class called Senior Project where in that class, we were given the option of a children’s book, a board game, a card game, a graphic novel, or a concept art book. I challenged myself to do an illustrated children’s book about a boy named Ryder who has to take the subway from his home at 72nd street to a friend’s house at 7th Avenue.

Another challenge was making it different from everything else that was out there. I rose to the challenge and created a story that combines the concepts from other books about the NYC Subway (My Subway Ride, Subway, etc) and the morals from books such as Knuffle Bunny and Arthur.
